I’m Gwyneth Hill, an aspiring journalist who earned degrees in journalism and philosophy from American University in Washington, D.C., graduating magna cum laude. My time at AU taught me to look at stories through both an analytical and ethical lens by examining how ideas, structures, and narratives shape the world we live in.
After graduating, I moved to Indianapolis, where I currently work remotely for the documentary series Saving the City. In this role, I research issues that define urban life (think - park projects, public housing, unemployment, etc..) by digging into archives and libraries across the globe. I love uncovering the overlooked histories and human stories that reveal how cities evolve and who they serve.
Previously, I’ve interned with organizations that share my commitment to social progress, including the National Immigrant Women’s Advocacy Project and the Anne Frank Center. Both experiences deepened my interest in how storytelling can drive understanding, advocacy, and change.
Looking ahead, I hope to use my passion for writing to help foster equity, amplify underrepresented voices, and tell stories that encourage empathy and engagement in the communities we share.
